This item is great for young children. It is only a TOY. If you want a real motor to work on maybe you should go to a junkyard and buy a real motor. And when your child dies of some sort of rust he eats or flammable hazardous liquid, don't come crying to Amazon.

This item is great for YOUNG children. My nephew loves it!

These motors are surprisingly hard to find! My son and nephew both love the ones I got for them. As a lifelong mechanic I agree with a previous review that it doesn't go together exactly like the real thing, but it does introduce the little ones to installing/removing components and turning fasteners the right way.

While it's not like a real engine, it is kind of fun to play with. I think I liked it more than my 3 yo who is obsessed with fixing stuff and loves cars. I did get what I expected but I wish this came with a case and maybe was more realistic. It is a good quality toy but IMO there are not enough parts for a kid to stay occupied with it for too long.

my grandson loves to tear things apart, so finding this engine was a great find .... no more searching for nuts and bolts.

MY 6 YR OLD HAD IT BROKE WITHIN HALF AN HOUR AFTER RECEIVING IT. THE FRONT HAD TO HAVE A REAL SCREW PUT INTO IT TO HOLD IT TOGETHER AND THE GEARS THAT TURN THE PISTONS WERE WORE OFF WITHIN 2 HOURS.
