Better than expected Feb 18, 2009

I have to admit that I really did not expect this lamp to look as good as it does in our living room. Intentionally we wanted to place it in a spare bedroom but ended up putting it in the main living area because we like it so much. When I first took the lamp out of the box I thought it would look kind of cheap because what looks like metal/chrome is actually plastic, but once put up, the lamp looks great! Especially when just using it as an accent light or night light. It adds a lot of interest to any room and looks actually pretty classy. Would buy again in a second.

I bought this for my Dad for his birthday and he LOVED it. Reading the other reviews about parts being plastic was okay with me because it still was an attractive lamp. I had it shipped directly to my parents' house, so I still haven't seen it in person, but when I spoke with my Dad on the phone, his response was: "Hey Punk, that's pretty f**king cool!" which is the Harley-Dad equivalent of a grandmother squealing over Precious Moments figurines. He really digs the crystal etching.

I purchased it last year and he used it as a bedside lamp, but it's now on display in their living room. They've received a LOT of compliments from fellow Harley fans on the lamp and on the price (after I leaked it).
