great book if you like working on your own bike,tells you everything you need to know.

I've got this and the Haynes manual for my XL1200N. I quickly found the Haynes worthless. It covers way too many models to figure out what is what. The Clymer's is specific to the rubber iso machines since 2004. The english rag goes all the way back to 1970 and is a third the siz.e Another reviewer said the wiring needed to be in color. It is in COLOR. I used the schematic to install some gauges. Great book and half the price than the dealers.

I needed an owner's manuel and wanted a repair manuel as well. This is both. helped me identify a few things I needed help finding and seems to be fairly complete as far as repairing goes. I have not used it for a major rebuild yet, but it looks like it covers any part of the bike and I would not be afraid to start one with this book in hand.

this book is too good,its like having a mechanic at your disposal.this gives you the rundown on everything on the bike.great pictures and instructions,very detailed. this is the best book to buy to help work on your bike. i have 3 other books,but this one surpasses them all. id buy it again. clymer makes these for any model and year bike. do yourself a favor and save yourself some money and buy this book. this book in conjunction with the right tools and you wont have to bring your bike to someone else ever again,if your willing to put forth the effort to learn and do it yourself.

This book only covers the basic. I purchased it because I was having an electrical problem with my HD 2007 Sporters Custom. The book did not help in resolving the problem. The electrical diagrams were confusing. Color coding the diagram would have made the chart easlier to follow. If you are having an electrical problem, this is not the book for you. I can not speak for the other parts of the book, only the electrical.
