The Unsung Harley Aug 20, 2011

FXR- Designed by Erik Buell, hand-built frame. In the eyes of the great unwashed- a Sportster, or maybe a Dyna. The strongest, stiffest, peg-draggingest Harley ever built. To 'PURISTS' it's the Japanese Harley. To those of us who ride them... two-wheeled perfection.
This book is a collection of magazine articles, road tests, and reviews of assorted versions of the mighty FXR. Its plusses are (primarily) the subject matter, and the variety of writers and testers. Its minusses are that the quality of printing is sometimes less than top shelf, and (worse) that the cover picture is not an FXR. This awful faux pas is just too ironic. I laugh, I cry.
For those of us who know and love these bikes, the purchase of this book is, in my opinion, a no brainer.
